Weight: 4. 2 pounds, I would say that is light as air, but it is very portable and I have no transport problems by hand. If it is in a backpack I just noticed there either. Performance: will not play 3D games, nor can you do video editing-intensive, but it is more than fast enough for basic tasks. Email Sense basic Web browsing, music, some DVD, using Microsoft Office 2007. I Office, Firefox with several tabs and music that runs without slowdowns. This is probably 80% of consumers anyway. Photoshop is' also loads and works perfectly. However, it does not work because YoutubeHD flash based and depends only on the processor. DIVX video codec and who can download the GPU works fine. I could watch video in 720p well.

I bought this 14 inch Acer for its battery life and ease of mobility for the university. I love it so far. I did not remove a lot of trial software and games, because I need this. I downloaded my copy of MS Office 2003 instead of the 60 days "free trial" of MS 2007. And 'fast for me. I discovered that does not have a modem to connect to the Internet via modem. Yes, I live in a cave. Has WiFi b / g and draft N I have not tested the battery life just goes by what others have said. I really do not push this computer a lot, but for me, one student every day I think that is very fast. I mainly use to take notes, write papers and classes can access the Internet in a hotspot. One thing I like is the shiny black plastic buttons. It shows a lot of fingerprints. I think just like the keys on my old Toshiba better. The keyboard is nice, but my hands are big and it takes getting used to.

I used the computer for a week and has exceeded my expectations. I understand now that this class of notebooks does not come with a modem, because it is in the class of ultra-portable and that would defeat the purpose of having the modem installed. I love it so far.
